Monthly Humanist Program Has Moved!

For January and February, our Humanist Program will be at the Grandview Public Library, 1685 W. 1st Ave, Grandview, 43212.

Programs are still the second Saturday of each month and begin at 1pm. Join us for pizza at 12:30!

Unfortunately, we are unable to continue to meet in the Northwood High Building. Please bear with us while we look for a more perminant location for our monthly Humanist Program.

Sorry about the calendar snafoos!

I'm sorry if the recent calendar errors caused anyone inconvience. Because of job and personal responsibilities, I got behind in making sure our events were up to date. We're transitioning managment of our calendar onto our new Coordinator, Julia. Everything should be up to date and correct now. If you notice any other errorrs in our calendar, please send an email to coordinator@hcco.org.

11/12/11: From Many, One: Civil Liberties and Immigration, Rob Cohen, ACLU

Join us at the Northwood High Building, 2231 N. High St., Room 100. 1pm.

Our monthly program is a lecture or discussion on topics of interest to humanists. Join us at 12:30 for pizza.

This is also our annual membership meeting and we will be electing our 2012 Board of Trustees immediately after the talk. All members in good standing are welcome to run for our board. If you have questions, please contact Sharon.

HCCO Board Meeting Cancelled 9/27/11

Our apologies for the late notice, but our board meeting has been cancelled for this evening. New date will be posted as soon as possible.

Date Changes for Upcoming Humanist Programs

Due to scheduling conflicts with that pesky fall sport (believe me, you don't want to fight OSU football traffic), the dates for our September and October Humanist Program are changing to the following: 

Sunday, September 11th

Saturday, October 15th

Both will still be at 1pm (pizza at 12:30pm) at the Northwood High Building, Room 100, 2231 N. High St, Columbus.

We will return to the 2nd Staturday for our November program.

 

 

Book Signing with Glenn Kleier

Wednesday, August 17 at 6pm, there will be a book singing with Glenn Kleier for his new book, "The Knowledge of Good & Evil" at The Book Loft in German Village. Hope you come back and check it out!

Bleed & Feed reaches 71 units donated

71 units donated

On August 20, 2009, Lyz hosted our first group blood donation and dinner combination, our Bleed & Feed. Since then, HCCO members have been donating and dining together every 8 weeks. At our most recent event on July 14, 2011, we donated 9 units (7 on the day, plus two that made it up at a later date).  » Read more
